You’re Going Thru Stuff

Modified photo by Julia ScottThis blog post is about how to go through stuff, and special helpers along the way  …♥

The How?

Get a therapist to teach you how to feel.

A gut-wrenching feeling when trust is wobbly punches the stomach. Meat hooks yank shoulders up into the neck over the scalp when agency is pulled out from within us. And, lungs are sucked dry when a ghastly act leaves you aghast, frozen stiff-breathless gasping for air to speak …your worth and boundaries.

What language does your body speak?

The Helpers.

Plant Teachers. Learning from entheogens, you start to better sense-intuit the connections, draws, and ties that rule and drive our realities and relationships in these ways:

  • Sacred children (mushrooms) portray the psychologies of attachments and associations.
  • Grandfather Mapacho (sacred tobacco) grounds the physiology so we can understand, accept and forgive infractions within, and in a safe cosmic zone.
  • Shamanic journeys (drumming, coca leaves, readings) uncover the truths (answers) inside, unlocking our Inner Healer.
  • Huachuma (San Pedro cactus) cuts off (shrink/s) the head and connects us to everything outside … so we find greater space/expansion and peace, inside.
  • Ayahuasca (DMT, vine and chacruna) divinely extricates the crux and matter, shoving it in your face (and out your body = purging) — no more hiding.
  • Breathwork (with plant bath or tobacco offering) strips away the veil, reveals your essence and connection vs isolation.

What has Nature revealed to you?

The Evolution.

Select the right integration coach. When you combine self-exploration, therapeutic assistance, and Nature’s helpers, seek out experienced travellers; elder wisdom.

All three combined form the process of integration — and it’s where the magic combines to get you to the other side of stuck.

“Besides keeping you safe in the Amazon jungle, what does he do otherwise?” someone asked me about my teacher, Dan Motoc, founder of the Shamanica Institute in Montreal, Quebec, curiously, not critically. I laughed.

He does what shamans do. Holds space in and around ceremony. Watchful, guiding integration carefully. You come out of conversation with Dan feeling like you were in ceremony. His words are intentional and tied in with the technologies of the plant medicines (see above) — sign posts that help orient you in your personal transformation.

Would you trust a butcher for hairstyle advice?

The Inner Wisdom.

What comes next is the deep-dive into compassionate understanding and self-love for why we head in directions that aren’t so good for us.

But knowing in the head, and knowing in the body, are two different sensations and processes. Yet, once you digest what’s up there (brain), it ends up in here (soul/gut) … it lives in you forever. You become that truth. Your energy shifts. Your smile is bigger. Your heart grows. You walk taller like a giant … cactus toward the sun.

As our mental radar becomes fine-tuned to spot the unsuitable situations, and threats, from a mile away, our body wisdom becomes a compass toward less harmful energies.

Dan says that we stop attracting these types of people when we have learned our lessons.

New Routes | Roots!

Plant Spirit teachers; plant medicine guides like Dan Motoc from Shamanica Institute and those who respect a client’s plant-wisdom experiences, such as some traditional psychotherapists and trusted naturopathic/healers (Yola Dunne, Montreal), can all assist in steering us through echoes of relived traumas toward la vita nuova.

They can help us understand how to embrace the harmony we were always meant to have within ourselves and around us. Harmony that was fucked from hurt people who hurt people at too-close range … under a mile and within inches, always too close for our comfort.

All this helps us sharpen our focus so our “I” sees clearer. This is what “I need to focus on myself now” looks like.

Lack of clarity in life is for swamp-dwellers. Not cosmic travellers.

We need clear eyes to spot more beauty and butterflies — and not the ones in our stomach from a striking fancy = trauma bond, or enigmatic situation where mystery is but a cheap alternative to fulfilling normalcy.
